What I have isn't really sore skin but my skin gets irritated real fast. If something rubs against it it is annoying and almost painful. If Gerard rubs his hand along my arm in affection it real bugs me because it feels rotten. Isn't this all so much fun?!?!?!

I am so glad that I'm not the only one with sore skin. It does feel like i have a sunburn from the back of my thigh to the bottom of my foot. Have you found anything that helps besides advil? My husband thinks that i am crazy. I have had this is various spots on and off for about 2 years. Good luck.

Wow I can't believe you described me to a T !! I woke this morning with soreness across my back that either felt like sunburn or bruises. I do have MS and didn't know if it is from that or a medication i am taking.

I have had this problem on and off for years. Whenever it occurs I know that I have overdone it and that I am heading for a crash. Yes, the descriptions are very accurate - it feels like a bad burn. Seams of clothing can be natural spots for it to occur, but I have had problems on my face and neck too where there is no contact with clothing. Wish I could say that I have found something that relieves the condition, but I can't. Usually I just aim for more rest.

I just found this site and am curious. I have been experiencing this pain for some time now and it drives me crazy. Both ankles and calves and both arms from elbows to hands. Now recently in my face. I have had no diagnosis and its sad because I can't even stand to have kids or husband, even clothes rub me. Never considered Fibromyalgia as a cause. I would be curious about other symptoms. Bad headaches and such. Thanx, Toni

I have had it all my life. Itused to be it was only if I had a fever, even low grade. Since the Fibro was diagnosed it has gotten to be when I have overdone or overstressed even. I get body wide sore skin and acetometophin only helps some. It really feels awful and I am glad to find this site and be reminded that it is indeed a problem for some with Fibromyalgia. Thanks

I have "episodes" of sore skin....it goes and comes. Had a "quicky" diagnosis of fibro about eight years ago... have always wondered if it really was...anyway, my skin will get very sore, usually on the top of my thighs or the underside of my arms....feels just like a bad sunburn. Sometimes it will last a day and sometimes a couple of days. When I have it, it really hurts, but I just tuff it out...since I have never found a rash or anything, I never took anything or put anything on it. It's always concerned me, though.

I dont have FM but my wife does. Anyway, the last few days I have had what feels like a sunburn on my shoulders and back. I am under a lot of stress right now, have been for a year, big time stress, anyway I am thinking my body is reacting to the stress, looking for a way to get out. I don't know but it sure feels like sunburn.

I HAVE THE SAME THING AS YOU DO . THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT I ONLY FEEL SORENESS FROM THE WAIST DOWN .ITS VERY UPSETTING BECAUSE GETTING DRESSED ALONE IS BECOMING A DIFFICULT TASK.WHILE MOST PEOPLE THINK THAT YOUR CRAZY AND ITS ALL IN YOUR HEAD,ITS FRUSTRATING NOT BEING ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. HAVE YOU BEEN FEELING EXTREMELY SAD BUT WITH NO REAL EXPLENATION AS TO WHY YOU FEEL THAT WAY?
