I find evening primrose oil helps. I take this because of problems with periods and breast cysts. It seems somehow to balance your hormones which also seems to affect the fibro.

Oh I forgot to say that I am interested in this since I feel better when I am on my period and when I was pregnant so I figure it is hormone related for me as well

evening primrose oil, is a woman supplement, made by seven sea's and other brands you can find it in boots erm you might not have a boots local chemists.. its spose to help for women troubles ie:period cramps breasts blood etc....
i also use it when i remember and other mulitvitimins...
guai' is another type of multivitimin herbal pain type of med you have to read fully into it, but that is really spose to work if you suffer really bad...
i was prescribed to take amitripline (anti-depressent) but i was like a dead person walking around and cried all the time... it was spose to help me sleep. huh, stopped that right away, and ive been on *co-proxomol *co-dromol *co-dene *vioxx *and some others... all i found helpful for a week and then not at all i use a wheat bag on my shoulders and hips when bad really find that usefull...

Hi TishArby, re amitiptylene, this is only helpful in very small doses ie 20mg. You feel spaced out for a few days, but it really helps with sleep pattern and muscle spasms after that. Try it again! Also Neurontin (about 300mg twice a day) for 'nerve' pain and celebrex for joint pain. Also zoton for acid stomach as this is safe to take with celebrex as its a new type of anti.inflammatory for people with stomach problems. Ihave had this condition for 10 year and find this combination of meds helps. Did you also know that vioox has been withdrawn from the market as it is causing premature deaths from heart attacks? Don't want to worry you but if you are still on this you should stop immidiately. I also take 60mg slow release dihydrocoedine for pain. Same thing, kinda spaced out for a couple of days but then ok. Hope this info is useful
