Interstitial cystitis is a chronic inflammatory condition of the bladder. The cause of interstitial cystitis is unknown, but occurs more commonly in females. Symptoms include difficulty urinating, pain on urination, urinary urgency and increased frequency of urination.
to help keep it at bay drink plenty of fluids to clear your system out...!!
there are other methods but the simple one is fluids!!

I have been referred for a cystometrogram because of 'stress' incontinence. Has anyone else had this? It consists of having a catheter passed into the bladder and rectum to measure the pressure in your bladder and record how well you pass urine. I am terrified!!! Not least because of all th MRSA scares!!!! I would be grateful if anyone out there can put my mind at rest.
