Irritable bowel syndrome is a functional bowel disorder characterised by recurrent crampy abdominal pain and diarrhea. Invasive gastrointestinal diagnostics are often unrevealing.
also known sometimes being caused from too many pills thats the doctors give us to shut us up....lol
very strong pain killers taken after so many years can have similar effects as alcohol and other drugs, if you do not take them properly or sometimes just the length of time and the different types of drugs used prescribed by dr's
Ibs isnt nice to talk about but if you suffer and know ways to feel at ease do let us know!

I started having these symptoms in my teens - I'm now almost 50 and they have never gotten any better. They have gotten so bad in the last 6 months that I just want to die when it starts. I know how painful it's going to be. About once a month it's so bad that I think I'm going to throw up and pass out at the same time that I'm having diarrhea. I'm dripping with sweat at the same time. In between bouts of diarrhea, I wind up on the bathroom floor because I'm afraid if I stand up I'll pass out and if I get too far from the toilet, I'll make a mess. My doctor wants to do all the usual tests. I've agreed to some but I'm really not looking forward to any of the invasive ones. Especially since all they do is rule out anything more serious.
I've never had a positive test for anything since I've had FMS. It gets old having to go in for the tests again and again only to be told, "No, nothing wrong. You're perfectly healthy."
